Store in the alley in Central

Central, the Heartland of Hong Kong, is the earliest developed area in Hong Kong and the commercial centre of Hong Kong. As early as 1841, when the British occupied Hong Kong, they took the lead in establishing their military base in Central and quickly built several main roads.

The name Central had its origins in the 19th century. The Hong Kong Chinese collectively referred to it as "four wans nine yeuks"(四環九約) (four rings and nine districts), located on the north shore of Hong Kong Island. "Central" is one of the "rings". The official partition of the British Hong Kong Government of Victoria City is divided into three areas: East, Central and Western districts.

The 1970s to the 1980s was the heyday of Central when Central continued to build skyscrapers, including the headquarters of banks. Coupled with the booming financial markets, many of Hong Kong's major commercial activities are Central. Many Hong Kong people are proud to work in Central.

Central is not just a financial business centre. Enter this city, Central, Hong Kong's most typical neighbourhood; you will find a unique atmosphere, with not only the highest and most dense buildings, which can be regarded as a concrete jungle but also a melting pot of cultures from around the world, bringing together cuisines, international brands and five-star hotels.

The wealthiest and most knowledgeable upper and large numbers of foreigners in high-paying occupations are concentrated here daily. On the other side, several grassroots people live there, struggling to survive. Some alleys sell traditional local food and drinks, while others still sell traditional products from decades ago.
