Bibe,Hokkaido in winter

 I visited this place in February 2014 and took this photo, and it is extraordinary scenery in the snow.

Biei is located in the middle of Hokkaido, Japan, and is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Hokkaido. There are many prominent Japanese TV commercial shooting locations in Biei Town, so many tourists visit yearly to inquire about the renowned scenery in the advertisements.
July 12, 1971: Landscape photographer Maeda Shinzo came to Biei to take pictures of the potato flower fields and took a photo of the red triangular roof of the tower of Bibaushi Elementary School. He submitted the photograph. After entering the photography magazine, it was well received and won a photography award. At the same time, Biei's European-style pastoral scenery became famous far and wide. After that, Maeda Shinzo created many photographic works with the picture of Biei and Furano as the theme and became one of the most representative photographers in the area. Today, Maeda's memorial hall, "Takuzakan", is established in Biei Town, exhibiting many landscape works of Biei that he took during his lifetime.
